2014 Pride Week Proclamation

Queer Art Exhibit - Call for Submissions

Celebrate Okanagan Pride 2014 with the Alternator Centre and the Okanagan Pride Society!

Submit your work on the theme, Local Pride, Global Love - ten works will be chosen to exhibit in the Alternator Members Gallery from August 9 - 30 and one artist's work will be chosen to officially represent Okanagan Pride Festival 2014. 

All LGBTQ* artists and allies in BC working in visual art of any medium can apply.

Deadline to submit is Friday, July 11, 2014.

 Congratulations to Madeline French

Congratulations to Rutland Senior Secondary graduate Madeline French on being the very first recipient of the Okanagan Pride Society Youth Award. Madeline, one of over 400 graduates at RSS was presented with the award at the graduation ceremony on June 13th. Okanagan Pride is proud to have presented the award which was one of over 80 awards handed out representing $104,000 to this graduating class.

Okanagan Pride Community Cafe

Join the LGBTI and friends Community Cafe on Sundays from 2-3 pm for an opportunity to chat, connect and create. We plan to hold these informal coffee get-togethers every Sunday. Everyone welcome at Urban Fare Cafe on Pandosy in the Mission (Kelowna) at the large centre table.

Etcetera Kelowna - Youth Group

Etcetera Kelowna youth group for ages 15-25 meets twice monthly in downtown Kelowna. For further information go here. The group is not having regular meetings for the summer months. Look for Etcetera booth at the Okanagan Pride Festival on August 16.
