The Okanagan Pride Centre is the focal point for the LGBT community in the Okanagan.
Since its opening in July 2008, it has been a safe and consistent venue for the many community groups and functions, and provides a supportive environment for those seeking information, or simply a place to go. We want the Pride Centre to be a place where everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity feels safe.

We are continuously working to expand our opening hours with trained volunteers and new programming.
In addition, we would like to increase its profile in the community. To do this, we need your help!

We would like to acknowledge the We're Funny That Way Foundation for it's generous contribution of $30,000, which allowed for the opening and initial operation of Okanagan Pride Centre.
We’re Funny That Way is a national fundraising organization whose goal is to raise funds to support queer organizations across Canada.
Specifically, the We’re Funny That Way™ Foundation aims to donate funds to organizations that will be highly impacted by their receipt. Towards that end, we try to seek out small, struggling, or start-up organizations especially those in less populated areas, that support the queer community in a variety of ways. We support youth, health, social, and arts organizations. We aim to make our grants have the most impact possible and by focusing on groups that operate on shoestring budgets or groups that bring essential services such as counselling and support to queer youth we intend to meet that goal.
The mural pictured below is on the side of Okanagan Pride Centre, and its creation was helped by a public art grant from the City of Kelowna during our 2009 Pride Celebrations.
